As FOLLOWERS of Christ,
We SHARE God's love
And SERVE others.

Heritage Baptist Church
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another- and all the more as you see the Day approaching. -- Hebrews 10:24-25 (New International Version)

Why worship?  Few would argue that church attendance is on the decline in America. While there are a myriad of theories as to the cause, there is one truth that holds steady: people like to belong where they feel connected...where they feel relevant.

Why worship with us at Heritage?  While we would be happy to offer theological reasons, the core principal is simple: As followers of Christ, we share God's love and serve others.  We strive to meet the challenges of this often confusing, tumultuous world with the relevancy of Christ and his example to us.

In our Sunday worship services, we read from the Bible, sing from the hymnal and are inspired by presentations from our choir and talented musicians.  Our pastor or guest speakers use biblical texts to offer words of wisdom, direction and comfort.  We unite and lift our voices to the heavens, figuratively and literally, to celebrate the blessings God has given.  It is a time of connection and reflection.

When the pews empty, we hope those in attendance will launch into the community refreshed and renewed.  However, worship doesn't end when the church bell chimes.  "Church" should be an active word.  We live out worship through the week with our food pantry, Backpack Buddies, Knit Chicks, Wednesday re-charge and countless other opportunities.
